Every gear ratio up is about 125 rpm increase and 5 percent torque. Personally I would just go with the 3.73 because I'm not concerned about a gallon of gas a week but you might be so you need to decide if you want more performance or the most bang for the buck performance and pay at the pump.

When you lay it out like that, I might as well go 3.73. I figure if I can still hit 26 highway I'm doing great. My old Tiburon with the 4 speed auto was turning 3200rpm at 75-80. Lol

A complete brand new 8.8 rear end with 4.10 gears is $1099. Listed as take outs from Speed Concepts. They have 3.55 and 3.73 also. Just another option.

Yeah, I hear ya on that bro. You could always pay 1,000 to 1,100 to a Ford dealer to do the install which I would think be able to keep your power train warranty then. Just an option.

I think I'm going to wait until 5k. Should give the car enough time to shake down and any issues to arise. Also, it will give me time to get new rims and rear suspension goodies.

Don't quote me, but I thought I remembered reading that if Ford swaps out your gears you get a separate warranty just for the gears, and only 1 year.
