Depends on the shop. I got quoted for $350 labor. That is given that i provide the gears, install kit, bearing kit, traction lock kit, and oil.

I was quoted 450 to 800 depending on what ford dealer I called and that's including if I have all my own parts.

Gear+install kit+oil combo kits go for $250 on LMR. The guy that tossed mine in for me recommended that I buy the Yukon install kit because it comes with a much better shim selection than the Ford Racing kit. Gears pay about 4 hours so at a $100/hr install rate you're looking at right around $400 for install alone.

That's a bit high on the install. Most places charge around $73 and some change per hour. If it's a local shop, offer them the cost for 3.5 hours. Also, provide your own parts. You can order through American Muscle. The %6 you get off, no sales tax and free shipping, makes it a pretty good deal.

Yeah $100/hr is more of a dealership price.
