New member questions

I'm new to the forum, just got my 2014 v6 with the performance pkg. Placed an order today for the roush axleback, air raid Cai, and bama tuner. Did I make the right choice for new mods?

Sure! All of those are your typical starter mods. The Roush wouldn't have been my first choice personally, but a ton of people here have it and do like it. A CAI and tune is a great way to get all those extra horses out of the 3.7.

Anyway, Welcome!

Thanks! Is there any reason you don't like the roush? I wanted one that was loud but didn't have a lot of highway drone. I drive a ton of miles!

I just preferred the sound of the Bassani kit more, and that's just a personal preference. I can't recall hearing that Roush's have bad highway drone so you should be set.

Also thinking about changing the driveshaft. The exploding driveshaft video scared me a little

Dan, I'd like to add the roush upper and lower grille/roush hood scoop/ and matte black or dark grey stripes. Maybe a one piece driveshaft. You guys better ship my order quickly so I can spend some more before the old lady cuts me off

Dan,

How can I tell if the tuner shipped with my other two packages and if it was pre-tuned?

Your tracking should show exactly what shipped. We can help you out with this! I'm sure the tuner shipped with your packages and that it's pre-loaded with Bama custom tunes.

Just give my CS team a call and they'll help you out! You can reach them at the contact information below in my signature.

well crap! too late now! Is it bad inside the car?

Dan,

Dumb question, but Can I use the same tuner to tune my 2013 Ram? I desperately want to turn off MDS in that thing.

I don't know about drone inside the car because I don't have the Roush axle backs. A dude in my mustang club has a 3.7 with the Roush axle backs and the high pitch loud is just too annoying for my flavor. A loud rumble exhaust is great. A loud pitch tone is just loud that makes lousy noise. Having Roush axle backs are like just running straight pipes. They are basically hollow with no baffles or almost none inside so its just loud.

I thinking you will have some noticeable interior drone so you might want to have two glass pack resonators welded on as well

You cannot tune your Ram with the SCT tuner for your Mustang. In theory, if the device wasn't being used on your Mustang and was unlocked you could hook up with the OB2 port. However, you would need to find someone who tunes Ram's to get you set up with some tunes. But like I said, the device needs to be unlocked to attempt this.

Hope this helps!
