Cobra or 5.0

So I got my credit score , and I'm in the 700's so I'm still on the hunt for a new ride. I found a lot of 5.0's and barely any 03-04 cobra .. I'm trying to go through a dealership,

What would be a better route ? Cobra or 5.0?
Pros ?
Cons ?
Looks ?

Get a new 5.0 IMO. Coyotes respond way better to mods than a 4.6. Add a supercharger to the 5.0 and no contest/competition

Coyotes are good except for the transmission piece.

Comments about coyotes responding better to mods is completely wrong.

A pulley and a tune will net a cobra 475 at the wheels and that's only $500.

Ported blower, pulley, tune and BAP is about 1200 and that will put u about 520rwhp.

Coyotes: no forged internals good to 600rwhp

Cobras have seen over 800 on the stock long block many many times.

This coyote dyno'd 395 to the wheels stock. Throw on some bolt ons and your past that already n/a. After that pulley swap in the cobra, it's pretty maxed out

What do you want out of the car? Straight line speed? Cornering? Pure badassness?

All of these= 5.0>cobra

Cobras are awesome don't get me wrong. And they are def collectors cars. But as far as dd ability and the most power out of your ride the coyote takes the cake.

Personally I would take the 5.0 if this was my choice. Not saying they are the end-all-be-all, but they can get there

I asked because if he wants to focus on a certain aspect then it may be in his best interest to look at a different car (yes I went there lol)

No contest...Cobra all the way!! Can get 600 HP in that car pretty easy. Even if you upgrade to a 2.8 SC, tune, full exhaust, and the normal bolt ons you'll still have less money in it than a 5.0 and you get the sound of a SC and a way better and more aggressive body style in my opinion ! I am not a fan of the S197 body style at all really. There are tuw few exceptions but not enough for me to buy or want one.

For me, if you want relatively cheap power get a Cobra. If you car about things like a warranty, an interior that isn't falling apart and some reasonably modern tech get a Coyote. I'd never go back to a new edge as a daily driver for the reasons I stated above. The 10+ cars are built so much better overall its not even a fair comparison. It's not like a Termi is cheap either... Stock, low mileage models are close enough to coyote dollars that it almost doesn't make sense to own one as your primary mode of transportation when you get such an overall better car in the 11+ models

5.0 will be easier to finance.

If I could do it again, I'd get a cobra hands down.

5.0 all the way over Cobra if your looking for a DD that is really comfortable and has modern day tech. If 600 rwhp from a 5.0 is not enough power to keep the juices flowing to your ole balls and you need 750 rwhp, then Cobra may be a better fit.

Ford built a great motor for the cobra but the rest of the car is junk the older mustangs were not put together well the 11+ it's not even a question over all night and day just go and ride in a older mustang then get in a new one and ride in it you"ll get your answer

If you want some modern electronics/ "smart" power and suspension then go with the 5.0. If you want a pure animal then go with the Cobra.

If you just want to put gas in it then get the newer Mustang. If you like turning wrenches trouble shooting issues every once in a while then grab a Cobra. You will always find an answer to any symptoms here
It makes me feel good to figure out issues and take care of them myself. So I got a older GT. I don't like fancy electronics either. I like to figure out where I'm going based on the position of the sun or the north star. So I never drive off the edge of the Earth. "Ol Skew.. Lol

Don't get me wrong I'd love to own a 5.0
Minus all the special electronics.
Just leather seats and a radio and I'm good to go.
I love my cobra for its raw power.
But I'd loved to have a 5.0 as a mean DD and I like modding exterior of cars, not much you can do on a cobra.
But I know the 5.0s are fast as well.
