Pros / cons of 5.0

So I got my credit score , and I'm in the 700's so I'm still on the hunt for a new ride. I found a lot of 5.0's and barely any 03-04 cobra .. I'm trying to go through a dealership,

What would be a better route ? Cobra or 5.0?
Pros ?
Cons ?
Looks ?

I'd go for the 5.0 as a daily driver.
I'd also wait for the 15's to be released and see if some of these guys with the 5.0's are enamored enough by the new car to trade theirs in en masse...

Ford has a lot of incentives going right now on left over '13s and new '14s. That's what motivated me to move now in part. I think Ford is trying to clear the lots for the '15's intro.

Get a 12' boss 302 you will not regret it. 11-14 are very similar but look different due to options. I got 14' GT. : dance:

My buddy has a 04 cobra he loves it. He is thinking about getting a 14gt though. He loves my car and says he wants something newer. We talked about how his is more the raw power. The only thing we decided on in the end was any car car can be insanely fast. At the end of the day are you going to spend all the money to make insanely fast. Probably not to the point you're gonna wish you chose "raw power" over a brand new car with up to date convenience

The only difference is the 11-12 5.0 has 412 hp and the 13-14 has 420 hp. It's not that big of a difference but I'd see if there are any left over 13's near you or see what kind of a deal you can get on a 14. But whatever year you choose you won't regret it!

Either one won't be bad, the only differences between the 13-14's are some options, I'd get a 13, as the pricing will still be less than a 14, but dealers probably will not have 13's in stock unless they are used.

The older car feels "raw" because it is. Raw, unrefined and ultimately, no faster in a straight line than a stock, naturally aspirated 11-14 GT, despite being an uber-special, limited car.

I second buying a left over 13 or 14. I just got my '14 V6 coupe for 20,055 OTD including all taxes (CT-I got owned at 6.35%) and dealer fees. I live in CT, but drove to Virginia to buy it. Saved about 4k after it was all done. Northern Virginia Ford dealers have MASSIVE amounts of '14 mustangs (GT & V6) on the lot and they WILL deal to move them. Some dealers are selling '14 GT mustangs for $24,500 right now.
