Ford Racing Hot rod cams

Well I've been saving up a lil and I decided I want to buy the ford racing hot rod cams the things I wanna know is have any of you guys had any problems with this set up? What will I need? Could you tell a big difference in performance? What should I expect right now I have the jlt 3 series cai 91bama Oct custom tune pypes catted x pipe and pypes bomb axle back when I install the cams I'm going to change out the x pipe and go with jba long tubes jba offroad hpipe and stay with the axle back I also want to add the ford racing intake manifold and steeda udp what will I need for the UDP? I don't plan to do it right away it might take me 3 or 4 months considering I'm still in school but income tax should help a lil so well see what happens

if you like the look of that racing intake....cause it does not add much power save some money and get some steeda charge motion control plates and a larger throttle body instead.....the cams have a very cool idle and at higher rpms is where you are going to find any hp and may lose a little off the line..before you get those cams get some steeper gears 3.73 or 410s......hope this helps .....finding someone with that same set up is going to be like finding a needle in a hey stack

Well I knew the manifold would do the same they delete your charge motion plates I believe and it is a lil pricey I would of expected it to help top end though that's what my car needs to improve on

I like the sound of them if you have manual trans needs a little more gas to get going ....I you have an auto you may want to get a high stall converter 2800 or 3000 and the 4.10s and still may lose a little 60 ft out of the hole but will get it back after 3000 or rpms and higher

the price at American muscle is 279.99 for the 410s and 319.99 for the throttle body .....late model restoration has the throttle body pre drilled that's where I got mine ......silicone intakes they have the spacer you will need .....take a string and wrap it around your throttle body mark the string and measure it then do the same to your intake use the to measurements and order the coupler from silicone intakes 12 or 13 bucks

I had a vacume line in mine from the cold air intake side I took a paper hole punch and made a hole for the tube a small amount of high temp silicone on the inside of the flanged tube and it worked perfect

I have the hot rod cams. I love them and with pypes mid muffler pipes it's pretty loud even with cats. Once I installed them, later that week I was installing 3.73 gears. Top end is awesome, but with 3.31 gears, the bottom end was horrible. Does sounds good and makes good power. I always have ppl asking me about them. I have also had 0 issues with them.

I also have those cams, and love them. Have had them for 2 summers and have had no issues. I got 3:73 gears installed and it drives great. I have manga flow high flow cats, and ford racing headers and exhaust and it sounds awsome. Going thru a restaurant drive thru is always fun, when all they hear is that idle lol.

I don't think the gt500 twin throttle body will fit mine because of my cold air
