Narrow rearend in s197

Has anyone narrowed a rearend yet? My car a 2010 v6 coupe and is currently bagged. im looking to narrow the rear end 2-3" to fit a raceline wheel with 4" backspacing having a 5-6" lip.... From looks all ill have to move it possibly shock location and im Thinking fabricating a new sway bar to go Back in factory location. So looking for if anyone had done this or any information i should know
