Supercharger or Turbo?

I have a 2014 5.0 already with boss intake manifold, cai, bama tune and exhaust but I'm looking to step into forced induction and I can't decide. Turbo or Supercharger?

Supercharger is a lot easier then turbos but turbos are making a lot of power on these 5.0s

Ive been around both types of FI for years and always will favor the Turbo. That being said each person is going to tell there opinion. I would do some research on the company you are going to use and look at the long term goal. etc.

Either way, its going to be a blast. Boost is addicting! Good luck

I really don't think you can go wrong. Superchargers are definitely more common and more affordable. But a Turbo Mustang is pretty nasty! Either way, you can look forward to making over 600 + RWHP. I wouldn't rule out Nitrous either. This is the quickest and cheapest way to make a ton of power!

What are your plans for the car? Track car? Daily driver? Weekend car? Built motor? etc..

Supercharger or Turbo?

In its simplest terms if you can afford it
Turbo> supercharger

Not necessarily. I'd actually go supercharger for a stick shift that is not a max effort car and a turbo on the auto but that's just me. Mainly to avoid any potential issues of bogging the turbo between shifts with the stick, the auto has no such issues.

Also, IMO, NOTHING can beat the sound of a twin screw/roots supercharger.

Supercharger! I only say that because nothing sounds better! You can't beat the sound it makes when you floor it!

Stock block is only good to like 700 some run more but just slapping on a Paxton won't net 800 unless there's other mods lol just saying those hellion kits are beasts lol

There is no way he's making 805 and that's all that's done. With that said, I've read that all the newer Coyotes use the Boss rods now and those rods are stronger than the original 2011 rods. I can't be 100% on that tho.

Let me rephrase that. That's the most significant mod that makes power. Other than the blower is a offrad x pipe and pypes exhaust and injectors, pump. No forged internals, cams, or head work. Alot of boost will put you there. Yes he may be on borrowed time on stock internals.
