Exhaust + Short Shifter Questions?

I have two unrelated questions.
Im using the roush axle back exhaust on my 2013 v6 and I love the noise but its been a few months and im looking for a deeper tone but not necessarily raspier. Would something like an x-pipe give me that desired rumble? My buddies seem to think that headers would only make it raspier.

Further, I installed short throw shifter from AM and the metal step that prevents it from sliding into reverse wore down over the course of a few weeks and now easily slides into reverse when im trying to go into first. It seems like the step is too short (only touching an edge) which shaves away the step. I heard the step works better on the 2011-2012 because it sits differently. Could I be doing something wrong or should i return it for a better shifter?

Which short shifter u got?

I know that AM has a really good costumer service. I'm sure if you call them they will give u a solution with it. AM is one of the best in this field

it's called short throw shifter on AM. I actually think I found the fix American Muscle sent me a replacement that had parts I was missing previously. I'm gonna try it out tomorrow but as far as the exhaust Im wondering if the clamp on xpipe will do anything for me? I have the roush exhaust which is known for already being loud

Shorty headers will make your exhaust deeper and take away the raspiness.
