14 v6 tune question

Just got my bama tune, air raid, and roush axel back today. I've got a 14 v6 auto with 3:31's and ran a 6.4 0-60 stock. Today my best time was 5.6 on a 93 race tune. Sound about right?

Yes about right from my experiences. It will depend on how well the tires hookup and don't spin.

Edit: just an FYI the 2.73 gears on a 93 race tune didn't see the same .8 improvement in my car, but that was to be expected. It was about ~.4 ; 6.8 reduced to 6.5-6.4 with no wheel spin. When I had the 3.55 gears added it reduced to 5.5-5.4 with wheel spin. Hoping in warmer weather to test with better tire hookup...

Last 5.4 test was with Traction Control On, Forgot to turn it off. Still wheel spin, need to wait for warmer weather...

Shoot, you lost 0.8 on 0-60? That sounds really good to me. I wonder what that did to your 1/4 mile times...

I will admit that I moved from the Bama tune to Mike at More Power Tuning, tune was recommended by Bucko providing his real world advise.
Also Steeda has been in the tune business making tunes for Ford, they have a rep for producing the most safe tunes while providing performance, and they have a CAI that moves the most air than others, and that's why the Steeda CAI requires a tune.
And the grand daddy of Mustang tuners is told to me by Charlie to be Jon Lund at Lethal Performance.

Those are impressive gains! .08 off of your 0-60 time is great. I bet the car feels a ton faster with your new mods. I'm excited to see how the Quarter mile runs turn out. Definitely keep us posted with the results. How's the overall power gains and throttle response?

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your Bama tune so far. Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future. The Bama team would be happy to answer any questions you may have! They can be reached at the contact information below in my signature.
