Tune question?

I bought my car used with 7k miles on it lets say I want to tune my car and after awhile the motor goes boom. If I take it to ford and take off the tune but they find that I had a tune it. Will they still cover me under warranty if I say that I bought the car used and had no idea that it had been tuned before.

I'm no expert by any means, but my guess is if they can tell that it WAS tuned then they can also tell WHEN it was tuned.

It's a computer so everything can be found, and not only will they call BS but they will flag your car for future warranty work.

Not to mention lying probably isn't a good thing to do...not preaching....just saying.

Just wondering cause I used to drive a 07 subaru sti and subaru is really strict on tuning. I got the car used and had some motor problems and it was due to a previous tune on it and was flashed back to stock. Subaru saw this and just replaced it

They can absolutely tell if the car was tuned and returned to stock. The burden of proof is on them though as they have to prove the tune caused the issue. My service guy is cool with whatever I do, maybe yours is as well
