V6 2014 Tune

Hi guys,

I am new to Mustangs and to Tunes so I was wondering what are the Pros and Cons of tuning a Mustang V6?

One important question is if I tune it will my MPG go down or up?

Thank in advance guys

The tune will really wake up your car. Mpg will actually go up slightly, but you'll probably be having too much fun to keep your foot off the gas haha.

The biggest issue people tend to have with a tune is that it's a quick way for dealerships to try to deny warranty repairs on the engine and transmission. They still have to prove that the tune is the cause for repair, but it's usually a bit of a hassle either way.

If warranty is a concern for you, it's best to talk with a service advisor of the nearest Ford dealerships you use/plan to use for any potential warranty work. Some are "friendly" with mods, some are by the book.

Talk with them with your plans, and ask how this will effect the warranty.

Bring donuts. Techs and service advisors love donuts.

Agreed. Some dealerships have no problem with catbacks, or a CAI. Others are even more lenient, whereas some will try to get you for every lil mod. Just gotta figure out where yours falls under.
