Wandering Steering, Please Help

So I have some play in my steering wheel when its straight, I've also noticed some wandering on the highway by this I mean it pulls to the left and right randomly. I've also noticed some squeaking/creaking when turning the wheel at very low speeds. It sounds like it is coming from the left tire and I'm pretty positive it is not the power steering. A little while back I hit a huge curb going a pretty good speed.

I got an alignment and they said I needed a new left outer tie rod, so i replaced that, but the play in the steering is still there even after an alignment. Theres also a slight vibration in the steering wheel even after I got the tires balanced.

Anyone know what it could be? Thank you!

Have a buddy turn the wheel while you lay under the car

I'm thinking ball joints as of now. Are you talking about cracked boots around the ball joint?

Wandering Steering, Please Help

My advice: take it to a Ford delearship and have a Ford certified technician take a look at it. They will give you a correct diagnosis of what the problem is and how to rectify it including what parts need replacing. Do not just take a Mustang to just any garage and have them waste your time and money with what they think it might be. Atleast when you get it done at a delearship you can rest assured that the work was up to par and have peace of mind.
