Guesses on my RWHP?? :)

So here in a week or so I'm making some dyno pulls. I've got an airaid race cai, o/r x pipe, and some pype bomb axle backs. All on a bama 93 race tune.

Any guesses as to what numbers to expect?

I really want to be in the 320's all motor so we shall see where I end up. Will post results when I get them! Anyone know off hand what the drivetrain loss is from the crank? I remember someone saying 10-15 percent.

The general rule of thumb is 15%

What kind of dyno? That makes a huge difference. I've had readings from 265hp to 343.

Make sure the pulls are done in the gear that is closest to a 1:1 ratio

Educated guess puts you at about 282 at the wheels.

These guys have all made pretty good guesses. From what I've seen, you're most likely going to put down in the 290-300 ball park with your current mods. The type of dyno, weather, gear you do the pull in etc.. will all play a factor.

Definitely let us know how you make out! We look forward to seeing the dyno graph.

He is starting off with 300 to the crank. He will loose either 15-20% of power through the tranny depending on his transmission (15% for manual, 20% for auto)

So let's just meet in the middle for the calculations assuming 17% loss

300x.83=249, so round to 250 for ease of finding the answer

His mods are worth about 30-35 horsepower so 250+35=285

Of course there are other factors that come into play in real life, but this is assuming everything else is equal.

Pretty easy deduction of about 600fwhp but considering the fact that the flange Is way over budget your looking at car that at most produces 4 raw horses on a good day get better gas caps and you'll fly
