Stripes

Hey all, I've been looking into possibly putting stripes on my car, looking for opinions. I'm leaning towards the Le Mans stripes (Mustang Black Lemans Stripes - 12in (05-14 All) - Free Shipping). I would probably take off the stock CS stripes that are already on the hood (I think that would be too much going on).

I'm sticking with either matte or gloss black. All my black on the car is currently gloss, but the wheels I get will probably be matte, so I'm debating on if I want the stripes to match the wheels.

I would go matte. But gloss isn't bad either.

Matte, IMO, is ideal for stripes as it'll match the black molding. Makes for a more cohesive look.

This is true. I'll try to work some photoshop magic or find some on the google machine.

Really think u will be happier with gloss black. Gloss vinyl really looks a bit matted anyway. Mine below are gloss.

I would suggest against the normal GT LeMans stripes and get some like Getin'off has here on his GT in the above post. That really sets off a GT as something different at the car meets, rallies etc.

If not done already as I can't tell from your photos as some look silver and some look black. Remove the CS spoiler and have it painted black in the Matte/Gloss that matches the stripes you choose if not done already.

I had a custom stripe work based on my design and it gets more attention as it is different from the "Just another GT" syndrome; and I run a SixGun.

In understand going against the norm, but from I can tell Getin' off only has stripes along the sides of his car. I already have rocker GT/CS stripes along the side, those aren't going anywhere, also, not a fan of putting Boss-like stripes on a non-Boss. I'll look into more options though.

I was planning on having the spoiler painted at some time, later down the road.

I didn't want "BOSS" lettering, just the paint scheme! Says "GT" on the upper sides where normally boss is.

No offense but it kinda looks like someone took a magic eraser and removed the middle of your stripe. Different is good but stripes should still flow IMHO. I do like the look of your painted spoiler though.

That looks great, and is actually exactly what I want on mine, I just couldn't find a good picture. Thanks for posting this.

I got the rallye stripes on eBay.

They have them in different colors. The kit is precut so it makes for an easy installation. The detail line is why I decided to get them. It sets them apart from your avg rallye stripe.

I got the rallye stripes from eBay. The rocker stripes came from American Muscle. The rallye stripes come pre cut so that makes for an easy installation. The rallye stripe kit is just enough to cover the car from bumper to bumper but you won't have any vinyl left over.

Check it out:

Just an FYI, I don't have Boss stripes on the hood. Its something totally different. But I can understand how the flow works on the Boss Types.

Does anyone know if you can get the boss stripes that just say "302"? I love the boss stripes but don't want to be a poser. I just think my gotta have it green would be awesome with matte boss type stripes.

Yea that looks Kewl also. One place to look is your local town's Graphix shop. I had mine done custom. I think user While Lighting has "227" on his Boss Style Strips.
