No response from key fob

Stopped @ Lowes this afternoon. Walking to the car, I hit the trunk open on my key fob. Nothing. Hit the door unlock button. No response. When I got home I tried it & everything worked fine.
Anyone have this happen? 2014 GT, bought July 2013. I dunno.

never had a problem with mine. i would just lock and unlock it a few times and see if it stops again. other wise i would probably not worry about it.

I've had this problem but only with my truck button. To get it to work I have to really mash it repeatedly and sometimes it will open. I don't use it often but if I need to I just open the car door and pop the truck from inside. Maybe it's the same issue.

Question

Hi!
Have you tried replacing the batteries? What you are experiencing happened recently to me. I finally changed the battery and everything works great. Good luck

Yes, this has happened to me a lot. Only 3k miles, defiantly not batteries. Really a big disappointment with my GT so far. Rear end noise, door noise and now this.

This happens to me, with both key fobs, all the time. Thought I was the only one standing outside my car like an ******* pushing the button over and over.

Show the dealer if it continues, fobs aren't cheap and I guess I got some warranty package that if I lose one I get a new one free.

This happened to me after school one day, and I finally got the car to unlock however the pats wouldn't allow me to start the car lol. So I ended up waiting three hours for a tow truck to take it to the dealership and they setup a new key for me and everything was under warranty. Apparently this is a somewhat common problem with newer fords and the chip in the key, specifically the focus, they said it is easy to screw up the chip which won't allow you to unlock doors, start the car, etc.
