Help I'm in trouble?

Hi guys I'm 16 and my mustangs been giving me a little trouble. First I got a speeding ticket and then I got caught drinking and driving after a party and I wasent above the limit so I just got my license suspended for 6 months. So I just found out our insurance company "Amica" dropped me. So I need some advice on what to do and what insurance company would be best for me? Please serious people only?

Do you own the car or is it financed? If you own the car you could get a high deductible plan that won't break the bank, but its crap coverage. I won't lecture you on making better choices, but drinking and driving is the stupidest thing you could do at your (or any) age. That's going to hurt your insurance for years to come.

What he said. And you'll do yourself the most good when you come to realize that it's not your Mustang that's giving you the trouble.

You just have to step up man. You're young and you may have to find out things the hard way and not having a license for six months will hopefully be the first and last.

Imagine if you would of rear-ended someone going 80 in a 45 because they switched lanes and couldn't tell you were going so fast. That's nothing though, you and the person you would of hit most likely would of lived. Driving drunk is another story, people don't make it out alive sometimes.

We were all 16 once so don't feel too bad, you'll live and learn. I'm sorry answer I couldn't answer your question.

Read the news.

Some repeat offender drunk driver went barreling the wrong way on a Cali freeway and killed 4 people (maybe 6... Can't remember).

The fact you are 16 and drinking and driving... You should have your license suspended for way longer than 6 months. Tired of people doing dumb things and getting slaps on the wrist.

Don't be the next headline that kills someone because of speeding/drinking.

Slow down, take a bus, work hard, be a good human being.

You cannot afford what insurance is going to cost you. Take some time out of the car to get your act together and mature some. Attend some driving and drinking meetings. Make an effort to prove yourself responsible.

Just saw that this morning. She had gotten a DUI when she was 17. All her drivers license restriction were just removed LAST WEEK! Going down the freeway the opposite way she crashed into an explorer and killed all 4 people inside and her sister in the passenger seat ( I think)

Help I'm in trouble?

I'm glad your insurance dropped you. You surely are not mature enough to be driving.

Realize how even the smallest amount of alcohol in your system can affect you... That's why when you are under 21 there is a zero tolerance for alcohol in your system. At least that's what it is in Cali.

Drinking and driving is by far the dumbest thing you can do bud. You got lucky all they did was suspend your licence. Thank god you did not hurt/kill someone or yourself.

Ok, I'm going to be a bit harsh. Perfect example of someone not taking responsibility for their actions... "Your Mustang got you in trouble". No YOU got yourself in trouble. YOU chose to drink, YOU chose to speed, the CAR didn't have anything to do with it. It's all on you buddy. The police were alot nicer than I would have been, your licence wouldn't have been suspended, I'd have revoked the thing. There is NEVER an excuse for drinking and driving. It's the actions of people like you that hurt everyone.

P.S. If I ever had the authority, I would have the licence of anybody caught drinking and driving revoked forever, and their car crushed in front of them. I am EXTREMELY hateful of drunk drivers. A drunk driver took the life of my beloved girlfriend of 8 years, 2 days before I was going to propose.

There is a limit for any age because if you take medicine or use mouthwash or something you can show up on a breathalyzer. It's to prevent getting a DUI because you have good hygiene or are sick.

I do breath alcohol test at work..Mouthwash stays in ur breath for less than 15 min. No way u can get a DUI for mouthwash. Same goes for medicine..unless the medicine is a narcotic that your not suppose to use heavy machinery with then that's a DUI because ur under the influence of a drug! In Cali if u are under the age of 21 u can't have any alcohol in your breath because u are not legally allowed to drink!

First time offenders are treated differently according to location. A lot of people have long DUI records because the information is not shared between communities and states. If a person is booked under a city ordinance, the consequences may be very liberal. It also depends on how good the lawyer is. Obviously, the court was led to believe that this was not a criminal level action, but still, it would be a good idea to show penance.

That's why you drink it as soon as you see the lights flash behind you lol

I saw a couple of weeks back some guy got in a car crash, and right away after the crash the first thing he did was go to the nearest liquor store and chug some beers before the cops came. Apparently that's not a crime, so they couldn't actually "tell" if he was drunk before the crash.

Leaving the scene if a crime however is a different story lol

By the time they actually do the BAT the mouth alcohol will be long gone!! Haha. Yea I've seen it..it's a good try but it won't work because alcohol takes time to get into your blood stream..not to mention u just added hit & run felony charge! Lmao.

Correct it is called under age drinking. So the alcohol blood limit for all under 21 is .00

He's lucky he had a judge go easy on him.

In Maryland the legal BAC for those under 21 is 0.02%. This is a very small amount of alcohol which can be ingested in cough syrup.
