Satellite Capable????

My '14 GT window sticker says that my stock radio is satellite capable, however there is no sat button in it and the Sirius website says my VIN is not available to subscribe. Any thoughts?

Talk to your dealership or check your manual I would think they would have mentioned it when you bought it.

The radio IS sat capable, but u need to have a sat module installed. Mine didn't come with Sirius, but I had the dealer install it for $450. It adds an antenna and a module. Works very well thru the oem head unit.

Ok..that makes sense now. Would you happen to have the Ford part number for the module I need to make it satellite ready?

Sure don't, but any dealer will know exactly what it is. Takes less than an hour to install.

Been that route before and the aftermarket ones just don't look that great imo. Rather cough up a bit more and have an oem system.

Stock head unit is garbage, but then again so are the factory speakers. Not much point in upgrading the head unit if you are keeping the speakers. That being said Metra makes oem looking dash kits that make whatever you were to throw in there look great

Here is the factory kit you need. I've been thinking of installing it in my 2014 base GT but haven't done it yet.

My wife has base model and i ordered radio from sirus hooked it up myself in about 15 minutes with antenna on trunk and the radio just plugs into adapter in console and put the radio in there also. ran antenna wire thru the trunk under the seats everything is very clean. sirus sold me the radio for 59.00 and got a 50.00 card back also to spend. my wife loves it just opens the lid turns it on closes the lid and drives to work. Lot better than 450.00
