Are shorties even worth it?

From what I've been reading seems like the gains are with the LT but are more work to install due to fitment. Anyone running shorties, and what were your gains?

tuned equal length shorties are about 6 or 8 and depending on what other bolt ons you have ....headers like ford racing you may only get 2 or 3 ....

imo long tubes are the way to go. I do have bbk equal length shorties and if I were to do it again I would go with long tubes......
