Personally, if I were the dealer, I'd wholesale that thing out and do whatever it takes to maintain a good reputation. One car losing a little money isn't worth soiling a reputation or a car buying experience for a customer. Word of mouth travels fast.

Thats a frightening situation which is why I always inspect my cars thoroughly even with low mileage and get second opinions.

Someone should go in and troll the dealer. Look interested in the car and see how they act and if they're honest. If they lie about the history pull out the oasis report. Lol

I wouldn't do this. I know some sales guys from a lot of the dealers around here like Bill Hood, Robinson Bros., All Star, and Hollingsworth Richards. Most of them are good guys who don't deserve to be jerked around.

I agree. The 2 sales people involved during the sale of this car are both personal friends. They didn't know all of this. Honestly, I don't think either of them could change their own oil. But they are good people, good friends, and made this right.

I understand that. However, why are they continuing to sell/advertise it as anything but a wholesale car? The local dodge dealer in my hometown had a basket case wrangler they got in a auction. It had a ton of problems. They ended up putting it out front at a wholesale price with the list of issues. They sold it at a loss most likely, but have a honest rep because of it.

I agree that's what they should do, cut their losses and wholesale it out.

This is why I didn't even consider buying used when deciding to buy this type of car. I don't want to end up with someone else's problems.
