Clutch pedal click

I have a 14 v6 m6 and I was just curious if anyone experiences a clicking noise when you press on the clutch pedal and if it's anything to worry about.

It's audible. Can't hear it with the radio on. It seems unaffected. I've heard it could be the clutch assist spring but Idk why it would click

Could be that, or the safety switch (assures clutch is depressed to start engine). Every now and then I'll hear it, but I could care less to be honest. Every standard I've ever had made a noise of some sort when the clutch was depressed.

That's fine with me, just getting ready to make a long move and didn't know if I should worry about it.

I guess I just figured a new car wouldn't start making these kind of noises.

I just went outside to actually crawl underneath the dash and see if I can pinpoint it. It seems to click when the pedal is about halfway down but doesn't seem to come from the pedal itself. Is this the safety switch you spoke of or something else?

Mine does it at halfway down too. I drove it last night and made a point of listening for it. Being the click is at the halfway point, and not the fully engaged point, I'm going to go with something else, such as cruise control cancel switch.

Ok well I feel better knowing others have it. I read a few other forums but it seems everyone posts worst case scenarios. Thanks for taking the time to listen for it!

I can't say I've ever felt it do that. Is it very noticeable?

They all do around 2750, something to do with the driveshaft but doesn't cause any problems
