Sorry bud. Any neighbors or places around have cameras?

File a police report. May not help, but maybe the cops came across the drunk a hole later on.

That's some bullish*t. That's why I always park all the way on the grass and avoid leaving my car in the street over night at all costs. Hopefully your insurance will take care of you.

Nothing around called the cops they came and looked at is and said there wasn't much they could do.. I mean it makes sense buy the looks of marks I'm guessing it was a big bumper or a trailer.. My insurance should cover it.. In just worried about them totaling it..

Before you go to your insurance, get a quote from a reputable body shop. Then see how much your car is worth online (kbb, nada, edmunds, etc.) and keep in mind for them to total it the damages must exceed 75% of the total car's worth.

Do you have a deductable? If so, the payout from your insurance starts after you pay the deductable. So, if it costs $600 to paint, and you have a $500.00 deductable, you get $100.00 from the insurance company.

Sometimes it's not worth it to make a claim for such a little payout, as they (insurance company) may decide to rase your rates. Depends on the insurance company, and any prior claims you may have made.

Sorry about the side swipe though. This would certainly not make anyones day!

I understand that bucko but with that damage it's above and beyond my deductible...
