Funny Smell

I received my new exhaust and CAI yesterday and installed them with no problems. After putting a tune on my car from BAMA I was ready to drive. I went out to my cousins house which is about an hour away all highway. Once I arrived and stepped out of the car it smelled like there was something burning, more like plastic. I looked under the hood and everything was fine no smoke or anything. Do new parts just have a weird smell to them and need to be broken in? The only other thing that I could think of was that it might be the clutch it is a manual car. I have never had any problems with the clutch before. This only started after I installed the new parts as well.

2013 GT Premium Manual Trans

Installed Parts:
Steeda CAI w/ 93 Race tune
Bassani Catback w/x-pipe (Sounds Amazing)

Make sure there's no plastic bags that got caught under your car on the high, as shown above. It's not uncommon for this to happen on the highway. To answer your question- no, there should not be any funny smells after installing those new parts.

On another note- how do you like the power increase and throttle response? Did you get a chance to lay into the throttle at all?
