I have had 17 vehicles, so no point in telling the back story.

Saw the mustang at the Merc dealer, they wanted it off the lot, so I bought it for about 5k under blue book value, kept it a few months, had fun with it, then sold it for a profit.

My last cat bit the dust so I got on the interwebs and came across my sixxer. This wasn't the type of car I was looking for but I loved it

How did you get your Stang?

My first mustang had the dreaded aluminum corrosion on the hood. The body shop wanted $2500 for a new hood and paint. So I decided to put that money towards a 2014 v6 and trade the car in. Plus I also got a great deal on the '14 with all the rebates.

Before my stang I drove a 1995 jeep grand Cherokee that I bought for 1500 dollars from my neighbor. I drove that car from age 18-24(current) and racked up the miles to 240,000 before I sold it for 900 dollars. I was looking around for 2011-2012 used mustang v6's until I came across a dealer in virginia selling new v6's for cheaper than used ones by me in ny. Called up the dealer and 3 weeks later I had a brand new 2014 v6 delivered to ny and sitting in my driveway.

My first car was a 96 v6 5 speed that was horribly riced out (by previous owner)
As I looked for a new mustang I fell in love with my 2011 v6 premium pony package.
Sexy and loaded with goodies

My kiddo had a bad day at school one day. He's 12 and is into Mustangs. I asked him if he would like to go look at some Mustangs at the dealership and he said yes. Well we test drove my Mustang and he really liked it and so did I. So we ended up leaving with it that evening. Wasn't really planning on buying a car that day but I remember wanting my Dad to buy a Mustang to work on together when I was young. Guess I got caught up in a memory. Now we have a toy to work on together.

Great story! I think you made a good decision even if it wasn't planned.

I had been a die hard Chevy fan most of my life. My dad and uncle were the same way. When my grandparent's died, my uncle got his 1964 ragtop Corvette and I was sold. My first car was a 1988 Camaro, nothing fancy, but it was in almost showroom condition with 10k on the new long block. I drove that for about 5 years until I realized that my dad was never going to let me keep it, so I stopped paying for it.

Fast forward a few more years and I owned a 1986 MR2 project/driver car and a 2012 Jetta that I absolutely hated. I was also trying to get myself into a house at the time, but not having much luck. A year later I sold the MR2, started the house hunt again and was denied pre-approval because my credit score was literally 2 points below their allowable limit. TWO FRICKIN' POINTS.

So I told them to shove it, and if I couldn't get the house I wanted, I was going to get the car I wanted. I hadn't had a V8 car in several years. I liked the new Camaros, but they weren't practical and the visibility is less than desirable. I liked the new Challengers, but they're heavy and overpriced. Then I remembered my employer had special pricing with Ford, and the latest revision of the S197 was BY FAR the best looking Mustang since the late 60's and early 70's.

I test drove a 2013 Mustang GT and fell in love. All they had were grey and black though, so I told them I wanted oxford white or grabber blue. Two weeks later, my 2014 arrived in oxford white. I'm drowning in the loan, thanks to the Jetta, and probably won't be able to get a house for another year (especially if I can't start saying "no" to parts vendors) but I'm loving every minute of it.

I had a 1992 s10, I was actually looking for a new car because I was tired of driving the truck. My girlfriend's brother had the 2000 mustang and just gave it to me, all I had to do was take over the payments.

I was 15 and wanting my first car. At the time in high school it was all about the Trans Am Ws6 and Mach 1. Since GM axed the Firebird 3 years earlier, they were way too expensive, and the Mach 1's were still too new to afford and the insurance rates were crazy.

I was bummed out, so I gave up on those cars and a few months later I found a 1 owner sonic blue 03 V6 with 17k miles. Cut many a lawn for years as a kid so I was able to pay cash for the car. Couldn't even legally drive the damn thing yet (15 with temps). Man was the next 6 months torture.

Years have gone by, got into trucks for a little while, 01 Ranger, 07 F150, and my current truck, '13 F150 with the Ecoboost (love it).

I'd gotten bored with the v6, still love the damn thing but really didn't want to spend any more major money on it. I got into some other hobbies for a while but mustang fever hit again right after the Automotion car show this past May.

So, as an early 25th birthday gift to myself I picked up a Mach 1 yesterday. 10 years ago (almost to the date) I wanted a Mach 1. 10 years later I wanted one again, only this time I made it happen
