Ordered a Motive brake bleeding kit

Sick of the wife complaining about helping me bleed the brakes. Also she was letting off the pedal too early this weekend with the 98 and wound up sucking a bunch of air into the system... yay. Now I can't drive it and even safely put it up onto ramps to finish wiring my HIDs/Projectors and mounting the ballasts under the car.

So I ordered the Motive kit from Jegs for Ford 3 tab twist on style caps like I have in the 98. I did NOT order a universal, those never work. This is the correct way to bleed a brake system anyway because you always suck a little air back into the system when the pedal hits the floor and the pressure drops doing it the manual way. You can use check valves and whatever to help but nothing is going to replace a positive pressure line bleed. Will post results when I'm done.

Used this thing finally and I swear I could hear a chorus of angels singing somewhere in the background. Cap locks right on, set to 15 psi, stick a hose on a bleed port and go. I can't believe I've never had one of these... I will say do NOT buy the universal fitting, I've heard those never work but this one was great. This is one of those mandatory tools that everyone should have but nobody does for whatever reason.

Interesting. I have always used a Mity Vac though this sounds like a cool setup. I like the mity because I can do brakes on my cars and bikes without help and it works on anything

This lets you do it without help too and a positive pressure brake bleed is optimal. The cap I have fits Ford and a lot of imports and I think Chevys too.
