Driving is the only thing that at 29 still provides me with joy.

I used to hop on the Harley and go for a ride when my head needed some clearing. Now I use the Mustang, as the folks here in Florida are just not as clear sited in watching for bikers; I only ride it with a pack of three or more riders.

Sometimes just sitting on the back porch with a cold one does it for me.

Or sitting in the garage admiring the 'stang, or visualizing what it gets next in the way of a mod..

I typically don't take any of my cars.

If I want to just get away, I will take the bike (Yamaha WR250R) or one of the quads (Honda 400EX or Kawasaki KFX450R) and either ride the track at my parents house or hit up one of my local woods and just cruise around.

Going off-road and making your own path is much more enjoyable, at least for me.

I used to do it all the time in my Camaro. T-tops in the trunk, blasting some classic 80s rock on my usual route late at night. Also did it quite a bit with my 1979 KZ1000. I met so many cool people riding around on that bike on my way to nowhere in particular. I still do it in my '14, just on a much shorter route due to gas.

I used to until I moved to San Antonio. Traffic here is a nightmare and a lot of times, the worst part of my day is driving from point A to point B. Too many idiots.

I love my kids but the time I can spend away from them in the Mustang is so nice. They love being in the car but I can't turn the music up as loud as I want or have the windows down as the little one doesn't like the wind or it's too cold. My favorite moments are when it's just me and my music is and I'm on the street or highway with my windows down crusing.

Hell, I don't even need to be in the car. Yesterday I had a horrible day at work due to sinuses and deadlines. It was miserable. But as soon as I hit the parking garage and seen my car I felt instantly better haha.
