louvers plastic vs aluminum

What are the advantages and disadvantages. This is a future mod and I am trying to get a heads up now. It seems like the aluminum would last longer and paint flake earlier. But I have no personal experience with these problems. Any help appreciated.

I got plastic, aluminum tends to make a wavy noise when on the highway. But plastic does flex on the highway and u can see it. But I'm my opinion go plastic

A good set of aluminum louvers make no noise, look better, and hold up better.

To tell you the truth rarely drive on the interstate. I am more concerned on how well abs plastic holds up against the sun year after year.

Then get aluminum, I've had plastic for about 2 months, so I wouldn't know how it would hold up yeah after year. But either one can be painted to match you car.

I've had my MMD ABS plastic louvers for a little over a year now and haven't seen any change in paint color, chips, or anything of that sort. Shine and color still looks like the day I bought them.

I take care of them the same way I do my car, regular washes and waxes and detail to make sure they hold up.
