Mustang forensic investigation needed, please

Hi everyone,

I'd like to call upon Mustang experts and see if anyone can pin down exactly what this 'stang is.

It has what looks like a Roush body kit, but zero Roush badges nor does it have any Roush engine upgrades as far as my noob eyes can tell. Under the hood it has a standard looking 5.0 V8....no super charger, nada. Is this indeed just a Roush body kit and decals or what?

If I saw the badges right, it's a Roush stage 2. Stage 2 is the appearance package from S1, and suspension upgrades. Although, those aren't Roush rims.

Could just be a body kit though. Most likely is, now that I looked at it again.

Thanks. As far as the rims....I'm pretty sure those are GT500 rims. Thanks for taking a stab at it.

Yeah. Can't tell for sure, probably because I'm exhausted, but it looks like they could be amr style wheels as well. So it's either a stage 2 with different rims, or a body kit.

Not a stage 2. Doesn't even have the body kit or badging. Not a roush either. It has the front lip and the stage 3 stripes( kinda) and aftermarket wheels. So someone just added some appearance stuff to a gt.

If it is a Roush, it will have the signature on the dash. It will also have some documentation. A lot of people build their own variations on the Roush with the components which are easy to buy. The Roush has great looks, but unless you are going the SC route, its a question as to whether it is worth the money. I wanted the Roush ground effects and the hood scoop is the best one out there, but I have my own suspension plans, and was not giving up my factory rims. I installed what I wanted, for ΒΌ the price.

That's a Saleen logo next to the "302" on the badge so it's probably someone's concoction of badges and body add ons to a regular 5.0 GT, or some dealer added package BS that was marked up to some ridiculous amount.

Got a VIN number? Add it on to the end of this URL. Do not use a space after the equal sign.
This might shed some light on the car.

Roushs don't have their own VINs anymore, they are registered as Fords now. Also, the N in VIN stands for Number.
