What's a fair price?

I have an 04 v6 and purchases the off road Mac prochamber with two flow 10s. What would be a fair price together this installed?

$200 or so, IF you can find a shop to install an offroad pipe. Its illegal for them to do it and most will not.

Unsure of exactly what fabricating he has to do to put this pipe on a V6... I don't have a V6 so I dunno but it should be a bolt in affair. Be careful you don't get taken for a ride.

I'm sure it doesn't just bolt in! What I done know is if 500 is fair when I bought the mid pipe mufflers and tips. Only parts he is paying for is hangers and some pipe. So is it really a 500 dollar job to bend the pipe and weld it all together?

You got 2 options

1) you tell him the truth.. Which is go to hell he is spearing you for nothing.

Or

2) pay him the money because you don't want to do it yourself.

Good luck (or find another quote at a diff shop!)

Well he screwed me over. Has had my car over a week and is charging 600$! I don't see what I can do other then just pay it. He's just trying to take advantage of me because I'm young...

That's unfortunate to hear. I was going to say that I generally do my installs by myself but certain things I would def. take it to a shop for and in cases like that I would definitely pay more to have quality work. You have to think more quality shops will charge anywhere from 90-120+ an hour depending on what there doing. So if it was a quality shop that's only 3-4 hours to put it on and if he is welding it all up I would say it's not a bad price.

Well that's good to hear! The only thing I'm iffy about is that he said he is charging 450 for labor and 260 for parts and giving it to me for 600z but what I don't get is how he got 260 for parts. I provided everything except hangers and a little tubing!
