Spoke to ford customer service about the seat wear & switching to leather. My portion of the cost for the leather + $500 installation....$800. I had to laugh. I guess I'll keep having them replaced under warranty & keep my eye out for a set of leather take offs for when the last cloth replacements wear out after warranty.

Try getting in touch with Ashley (username Fordservice) on SVT Performance. Lots of ppl have had great luck using a social media Ford Rep (still legit) vs some idiot on the phone.

I've used the same ford rep who is on the allfordmustangs.com website twice now. She's been a great help at getting things escalated & getting a customer service rep assigned. They've ok'd having the cloth cover replaced a second time. I guess I will continue doing that until the manufacturers warranty runs out. It's just a shame that the materials are so poor

I didn't even think of that. I've not sat in a 11/12 car, just 13/14 but simply looking at the pics the leather looks like its thicker and better. Apparently the 11/12 cloth is better too but no personal experience with that either.

I'm sure I'd still have to come out of pocket for those too. I've got a set of leather take-offs lined up so I'll hold on to those when I get them until the manufacturers warranty runs out & then put them on

My 2014 GT with the cloth seats still look like new after 10,500 miles and 15 months. I have an entire cloth seat set out of a 2013 if and when my factory cloth seats get messed up.

I picked up a set of leather gt take offs from roush so once my warranty runs out (if the cloth seats keep wearing out) I'll throw those on

I do have to say. After i sat in the 2015 EB Premium, that made my car feel like it was ancient. My car has leather seats and the EB had leather seats, but omg those were the most comfy seats i have ever sat in, it felt amazing. I have always been a leather person, but after sitting in those for a little bit i almost didn't even want to drive my car back home.

After 35K in my 2011 Mustang, the leather was still in "as new" condition. I always used Lexol; was turned on to this product when my wife bought a BMW several years ago.

Treat it twice a month. No wear marks, and nice and soft leather.
