HELP!!! Rear end noise

So I hit a pot hole the other night going about 15mph and my mustang started making a rythmick tink sound. Like something was stuck to the tire so I got out and looked and couldn't find anything. I toke the car home. Raised up the rear end, toke the wheels out the car in drive and give it a tinny bit of gas. And the noise started again. Sounds kinda like it's coming from inside the 8.8 any ideas?

I'm seeing stuff about changing the gear oil. Is that a possibility?

If it started after a shock like hitting a pothole, I don't think changing the fluid will help. Some shops have a stethoscope-type machine that attaches at several points on the rear end that allows you to listen to different sections at a time and can help you pinpoint the sounds location. If nothing if visually out of place, that may be a good start.
