You are most welcome, both for the info and to attend tonight. We are always looking for new members. As you can see by our calendar, we have a lot of things going including racing at Denton in a few weeks.

The cars that have been seen so far are prototype mules which will more than likely be destroyed once all testing is complete.

My club, the North Texas Mustang Club, has some close relations with both Ford and several of the local dealers. We had requested a 2015 to display at our big annual show (Yellow Rose Classic) held last weekend but was told that none would be available outside an official Ford display. So we just had to accept that.
So my service manager at my service dealership A lied, or B doesn't know what they are talking about. I would expect this person to be able to identify one, but then again the car purchaser for them didn't quite comprehend that an RS3 came in different stages...lol

More than likely. I was told a similar story by a salesman at one of my dealers. When I verified it with the sales manager (a close friend), I was told that salesman was full of it and was just trying to impress me.

The few cars that I have seen all had Michigan manufacturer plates if they were on the road (videos) or a "2015" plate if they were in a show. I got to sit in one at the Dallas Auto Show back in March. It had 5.0 emblems on the side but a boost gauge in the dash. They rolled it in and out and would not let us see under the hood. Ha.

Yeah I live in Michigan, less than 30 min from Ford headquarters and product development facilities, and see them all the time. They all have manufacturer plates of course.

The SM is an older woman who doesn't like me, so maybe it was out of spite. She's been saying my engine will blow up for the past two years, and she doesn't understand simple concepts. I'm not sure where she got her engineering degree- I imagine she dropped out of high school to pursue it.

I keep telling you that man. Change your blinker fluid every 3k miles or you're gonna be dealing with a blown engine. Me and her studied at the same vocational institution

Was driving to downtown Detroit this morning and a gray 2015 v6 or ecoboost (wish I knew how to tell them apart) passed me fast. So then I naturally went after him (legally, admins) and we had a good bit of fun in the morning traffic. Followed each other side by side several miles. I know a lot of us purists are not big fans of it, but mark my words, this car will SELL to the masses.

Ecoboost has the pony decklid, v6 has the tribar decklid.

What model years would be considered the choice of the "purist"? After 1970, i would say 05-09 pays homage and ends there.

The 05-14 look the most like a classic stang. There are design cues in the SN95 as well but honestly the most popular stang in recent history, the fox, looks nothing like a traditional Mustang.

IMO, they nailed it with the 10-14 body style.

Agree on that, over the years I've liked many of body styles including the 2015

Yeap, my opinion is they nailed it with the 05-09, i chose an 09 because the rear end of 10+ is not for me.

Looks wise its subjective but there is 0 way in hell the 05-10 is in the same universe as the 11-14 performance wise. I'd only ever get a 3V if it was mint and the price was sub $12k.

3v are only impressive built with a LOT of boost or a LOT of nitrous.

Ford hit the nail in the head with the 5.0's.

Looks wide the new edges look the best IMO, though.

3v's do sound better than the coyotes.

Still waiting for the day to see a 15 on the road though, and a Hellcat go pro ready for the cat

IMHO, one of the best looking cars of all time is a Mach or a Termi in Competition Orange.

Yeah there is a hot cammed 3V around here that sounds pretty good. Guy who drives it is a complete ******bag, always flooring it 100% WOT no matter what and 50mph flybys at 2 in the morning in a 25mph suburb...

I can also imagine the look on a Hellcat owner's face when he gets his doors blown off by a Mustang GT. I think the best the factory could get with drag radials and the auto was a 10.8 in the 1/4. There are way too many 5.0s out there that run faster than this.

Honestly, if someone wants a 05-09 body style its GT500 or you are wasting money. At least IMO. Yeah they need a few things but at least they're workable. The 05-10 GT needs a Coyote swap to be viable.

Unless Gladiatoro owns it.

The lines of the 10 - 14's look far superior to the 05-09's though.
With the 2010 being the red headed step child.

I've said it before and I say it again. That 2015 rear end is freaking hideous. Absolutely horrid looking. I have now seen the 2015 model in person twice and the second time, the car actually got uglier looking. I last saw it at the AM show a few weeks back and didn't hear positive comments from the crowd of enthusiasts near me.

For those out there who love the 2015 , that's awesome. Buy those suckers up so Ford can move onto the next generation stang. Hopefully Ford will come up with a fresh, creative, innovative design for the next stang. Don't just slap on the corporate front Fusion/Taurus fasica onto it and stick a pony grill emblem on.

I think the 2010 looks just a hair better than the the 13/14. That 3/4 front end just puts me off so much.

I think the rear quarter panels (2015) are the worse. Almost as bad as a Camaro.

I have no idea on why this is but the 3V 4.6's sound far more aggressive and better than the new 5.0's. Why is that?

Shorter stroke, firing order, heads.

Thanks for educating me bro. That's a shame the 5.0 lost that signature mustang sound. What would a current 5.0 owner have to due to get that amazing 4.6 sound out of it?

Not sure, sound isn't what I was worried about personally.

The sheer performance, on the coyotes makes up for it.
