Jesus Christ. I remember growing up working on my dad's '69 GTO. That ***** was completely stripped down with a stroked big block. It was fast as balls, and it could only run high 8s.

I hate you ppl down in TX with shops coming out of your anus. I mean NJ isn't bad as far as shops and tuners but it seems that specific area of TX is cray cray.

Henderson is strictly a Chevy nutswinger shop though.

So I just bring my car up there on the dyno days when it had the bottle on it.

And will again on the 400 shot and let them see 900+ out of a 5.0

Nope, all motor. The car is barely a GTO anymore. He custom-welded his own frame from scratch, custom-bent his own headers, etc. Nothing was spared in terms of weight savings. I don't remember what the curb weight is, but it's absurdly light. I wanna say that the Chevy 468 stroker was like 550 on an engine dyno. But the car weighs as much as shoe. Lol

The fact that Dodge went to an iron block tells me they are not done! I'm not impressed with turbo power etc. by any manufacturer. Inches and NA or it's a phoney! You can make a Wisconsin one lunger run if you throw enough $$$ at it! Ford has to go bigger on the inches to stay in the game. How they going to do it? Inches are totally anti Europe. Their new boss. The we have that barking dog (EPA) sent from that living skid mark in the White House.

I noticed this too.

I live in Eastern PA and there's not much as far as reputable performance shops, at least that I've seen. Although that's probably a good thing because people around here drive like idiots as it is, so it's a good thing their doing it in stock cars and not built ones.

I wish I lived down in TX... although if I did I'd have to get a second job to pay for everything I wanted so maybe it's a good thing I don't live down there, lol.

This is only part true.
Technology has come a long way.
There is still no substitute for cubic inches, though.

When I start to see top fuel drag racers "downsizing" to less cubic inches then I'll believe it.
Or a drag boat that will do a 7 second quarter mile on only 302 cubic inches.
There will always be applications where big cubic inches is the only way to get the job done.

I dunno maybe in tractor pulls. 302 CI out of a Coyote is going to be more than enough for me when I finally get ahold of one. I can't ever see needing more than 600-700rwhp with a twin setup but that's what they all say I suppose. Not like built ones with blowers or the sauce aren't going over 1,000.

You will.
I had alot of fun at 611 then 650

The new setup, will be 2 stages off 200 for the 400, should yield 710-730 on the 200 and 9.... on the 400.

The 3rd stage will just be there incase it's needed

Bought the right car, 8.8 rear, 3380 lbs, 4 wheel disc brakes, and it 's going to love my new Dart LS engine. Thanks BMR for the tubular K member and Quicktime for the bellhousing mating the Tremec Magnum XL Ford trans to the LS engine.
