Just got the car back! Looks good as new! Put new wheels on (upgraded from 17s to 19s). Wound up leaving off the side stripe that originally came with the car.

Total damage wound up being $16000. Since the other person only had $10000 worth of insurance had to go through my own insurance anyway and pay a huge deductible, but I've already told that my ins company is going to personally sue this guy for the difference.

Damn 16 grand in damages? What was the car worth? I'm surprised they didn't total it.

They had already issued a check for $13,000 and work began on the car. The shop then found more damage and asked for another $3,000 which the insurance estimator confirmed. I guess once work started and labor was gone they couldn't take back the original money and "total" the car? It's a 2014 v6 premium.

$16000 would total the car ... What's it worth, $26000 right now? That's more than half lol

I've heard you gotta hit 75% for a lot of insurance places to total a car.

Yes I edit my posts a lot, auto correct likes to sabotage me!

I'd say there's no way that the car was worth 26K. Probably closer to 18-19 which means it would have been put to pasture.

glad you are back....the wheels are a good upgrade and removing the side stripe was the best bang for buck mod.

Only cheap people get 10,000 in coverage for insurance. Sometimes they have to learn that being cheap can be really expensive.

But the car looks sweet.. And the rims.

I seriously can't get over how good this car looks. I love my white 2012, but man, that green suits the 2014 soooo well. And those wheels! I want those wheels!

^This. Check with your state though. All state laws are different and some states do not allow you to file for this.

Looks like there was never any damage and those wheels look the best on the GHIG cars. Great choice!
