Not shorties. Longtubes can but they are not cost effective at all on a modular for the price you pay for a decent set.

From the other threads he's posting he's trying to keep up with a 700hp car. This is going to require a $15-$20k build if he is doing all the labor himself.

Best plan to get to that power level is to sell your car and save for a Coyote or if you are just concerned about dyno numbers, a GT500.

As far as hidden power in a Cobra... seafoam it first. The 96-98 Cobras have a ****ty split port intake on the heads and the secondary runners always get gunked up to hell and booger up the IMRCs too. Seafoaming those things every 8-10k is almost a requirement.

Also have to watch the 96-98 manual transmissions, they have crappy paper blocker rings that like to make it very difficult to quick shift at higher RPM levels. I just had to replace my trans for this reason and happily shift at the glory of a 6k 2V redline lol.

What I would do for a 96-98 Cobra is:

-Basic maintenance=OEM wires, new plugs, oil, seafoam, new trans fluid etc...
-OR midpipe and catback
-JLT intake
-Aftermarket shifter
-Subframes and suspension work
-Minimum of 4.10 gears, might even want to look at 4.30s if not doing a ton of highway driving
-Good email tune like MPT or a Dyno tune locally

This should get you a 310-325 rwhp fun car for now. If you are dead set on keeping this car and kicking up the power... a real "budget" build is to keep the B heads, get them cleaned up with new springs, forge the Teksid block and throw 24 psi through them via a turbo. Would still only be marginally cheaper than swapping a Coyote though or even just buying a 2011+ GT.

Not everyone wants an 11+ body style lol. Yea it's nice and all, but that's why you see high horsepower of every single car. The cheap way out is too common then you look like everyone else.

96-98 Cobras were rated at 305 flywheel stock. You can get a B headed Cobra up in the 310-330rwhp range with bolt ons and a tune. Not world beating but not bad. Better than my pile lol.

No. Dunno where the hell he got the 61hp number, probably from some rag that was being paid to advertise it along with some other parts. From all I have learned about the Coyote, the Boss intake does not so much bump up the hp, it just lets the engine rev higher and stay in the powerband longer.

Yeah, that's a tried and true tactic to get ppl to buy ****. Just like a BBK CAI will "bolt on up to 15hp" or whatever. That's called "ricer horsepower" or "paper horsepower".

I can link you to an ebay site where you can buy an electric supercharger that is "dyno proven" to add 50+ rwhp to your ride.

I don't understand how it is legal to do falsely sell stuff. But I guess if you are dumb enough you kind of deserve it.

It's not false advertising, read it it says " up to " so that means if you gain 1 HP they did not false advertise
