Well it may now be 5 hours instead of 5 days. Another buyer lined up. He emailed me a bill of sale to look over and everything. He says hes getting here around 5PM and as long as it is "as described" he is taking it and has the cash. Again, we'll see but I feel more confident about this guy than the last one.

If I am mustangless in 5 hours from now then I will be taking that money, paying off some stuff, getting the wife something nice, putting some away for xmas and then will probably be out of Mustangs for a few years. I'll have my Expy to drive in the meantime and its nice and big and comfy and its still a 2V lol.

I have mixed feelings about this... I'm happy that you're hopefully getting a good price and will have some money freed up, BUT, Scotty... NO MUSTANG!!!

I may need your Teksid oil pump and pick-up Scotty, PM me...

Sold... mixed feelings but a wad of cash is something that is very comforting. For sure I want to get back into Mustangs in a few years but as I've been saying it is going to be a 11/12 and will be an automatic. Going to be very specific in my search when it does happen. Preferably white with black leather. Not too worried about the other bells and whistles honestly.

Am going to start researching a LOT more in 5.0 land now. Who knows, maybe I'll fall in love with the 2015+ and buy new for the 2017 refresh but I doubt it.

Also would not rule out an older F body or even a LS2 GTO or LS3 Camaro.

Well good!
Cash is always nice, and quite honestly, for me anyways, the hunt is just as much fun as ownership.

I hope that you'll stick around though Scotty. Its going to get boring talking about mud tires and such over in the Expy forum anyhow.

Lol no. I was crying a little when I tallied up how much it would cost out of pocket to build the modular or swap in a Coyote tho...

I'll stick around, I have to feel superior to other internets beings with my mod powers after all.

I'm getting another sports car at some point as I said, and hopefully sooner rather than later. Again, all depends on how finances wind up in the next 2 years.

Likely going to be a 11/12 GT like I said but will also take a hard look at a LS2 or LS3 powered vehicle. Hell, maybe even a C5 Vette if I can find a good deal on one and if I have an early mid life crisis.

Looks like I may be Mustangless in 5 days... :(

Sorry but i have to, i worked on corvettes for 3 years and they are junk, they are quick... Get excellent gas milage, and look good but they are junk, anytime i went to take apart the dash it would crack/break around the screws/mounting tabs, harmonic balancers that go out quite often are a nightmare to change,heater/ac controllers take a dump offen and so do the bcm's.... Everything in which is expensive to repair even if u do it yourself, now another ls car would be a diff story i just cant see putting myself in a corvette after ive had first hand experience in dealing with them and there common expensive issues. (And im taking about corvettes up to a c6 i havnt had experience with the new c7s) Not to mention owning a corvette will turn u into a fire breathing self centered sarcastic a''hole 👿

I worked at a shop that specializes in vettes even tho i didnt know much about them when i started i learned alot while i was there and from the other 3 master techs that did know so i guess thats why I've seen alot of junk but those problems i stated where the most problems we dealt with on a daily basis, we had the occasional motor build but alot of the corvette guys where older and where very anal about there car and just had bad attitudes, the corvette as a whole is a good car but i couldnt afford it if/when it had problems, i will say the c6s had alot less problems they only had the occasional theft issue it would go in limp mode and u couldnt go more then 6-8 mph or it would cut off lol

To be fair, you're a tech, those cars only come into the bay if there's something wrong. The others that run great don't stop by to say Hello lol.

That being said, a car is only as reliable as the person who owns and maintains it.
