Nothing beats living on the ranch

Every evening this is my view. With one of the 11 Stangs in the shot (The other 10 are actual horses not Mustangs just to clarify). Just thought I'd share what I thought was a neat picture of the country.

Nice shot.. I lived out in a country setting for awhile, moved back to the city afew weeks after I got the mustang.. Its handles dirt roads really well doesn't it???? I was shocked.

I really miss being able to see all the stars so clearly at night.

Thank you for the compliment, very proud of being able to live out here. This is taken on the family's ranch that's now been in the family 110 years. We have about 10,000 acres and run hormone and antiotic free pure Angus. I love the stars and all the wild life. My road is kept in good shape but does very well; of course I never exceed 5 MPH. Makes the mile to the highway a trip in itself. On a side note I would love a telescope. I've been saying that for years now just never have done it.

Having 10,000 acres must be amazing. You should definitely get a racetrack built on it...

I had the same deal.. about a mile to the hard road. Took forever. I used to say the same thing about the telescope, too late for me now. You should get one.. allthough you could get quite afew mods for the cost of a good telescope.

We only have 80 acres but love not having neighbors. The dirt driveway (1/4 mile) not so much. We have 3 mustangs, 2 horses off the range and the 2014 that I got on the 20th. Love rural life.

Or turn that mile to the highway into a drag strip! Private closed road, you could do a 1/4 mile run every day haha.

I looked into paving it. It would make like a lot nicer all around even though I'm usually in a F-450 FX4. Anyway the cost for quality paving that could withstand the abuse of everyday ranch life, heavy equipment etc was something along the lines of $25 a sq foot. You can get cheaper but would be useless. So dirt works just fine!!! It's kept inside all the time and have yet to get any dings so I'm happy so far. Just a killer long drive to just get to the highway.

For literally over a million dollars if I built it there wound be no way for enough to come. I had a heart attack when I was told the price for the road. It has to be almost highway quality to handle the heavy equipment and heavy loads of cattle, Tractors, Trailers with Skid loaders, Back Hoes etc. Cheap pavement would be totally destroyed and useless in a week. I keep it up once a month with the maintainer so it's pretty smooth just impossible to keep clean. Definitley not a necessity or even useful just would be nice. I would love to do a private version of the Texas Mile from the front door to the mail box.
