Not so sure. The GTO is pretty heavy, and the LS1 is just the 5.7. If it was the 6.0 LS3, I'd say no contest.

More horsepower and more torque, that makes up for the weight, and it's better overall power. The power band of the 3v isn't that great, it just has decent numbers, but numbers don't matter.

Also it's the 6.0 LS2, the GTO never came with the LS3 (6.2)

The LS1 in the 04 GTO was the best version of the LS1 as far as cam/intake.

Manual 04 GTO's have went 12.8 totally stock, generally the manual GTO's ran low 13's (13.1 - 13.4). The 04 autos typically ran 13.5 - 13.8.

So if it's a good driver in a manual GTO, you are going to get walked pretty good as those GTO's generally trap 106 - 108.

Since the OP seems to have a habit of asking these types of questions, here is a general rule .. if it has LSx, stock for stock and especially mod for mod, it will be faster than any NA 4.6L 2v/3v/4v.
