Best radar detector on the market

Hello fello speeders and mustang enthusiasts, I was wondering what kind of radar detectors yall use to get out of speeding tickets. I'm a noobie when it comes to these fancy machines, but I need to get one ASAP so I don't keep paying the government more money. Thanks

Passport 9500IX is the absolute best Radar Detector on the market. It stores false alarms after you pass it 2-3 times & never fails. Saved me $10,000 + in tickets. Well invested.

If you don't like the price $499.99 * $47 Tax $546.00, then go ahead and get a $300 ticket for speeding and have your insurance rates go up.

Too much for a Radar Detector is nonsense if you're a spirited driver.

Passport 9500IX detect speed traps, aka Speed Cams.

Good luck being ticket free without one. Better drive the speed limit. 😌

A police officer I used to ride motorcycles with once told me that by the time a radar detector picks up the speed gun, the speed gun has already picked up your speed. That was years ago though. I don't know how much technology has changed with those.

Sure if they hit you with laser, you're pretty much screwed, who does laser though? Maybe 5% of police officers? A lot of them 95% use Ka Band and just sit in one spot with it turned on waiting for a idiot to come into the speed trap. That is where the radar detector shines.

Front detection, rear detection,GPS stores false alarms, different notes for different bands, easy to setup, legal, Detects Laser, X band, K band, Ka band, speed traps, & much more. $546 is a well worth investment to me.

All in your own though. Goodluck. 👌

I got lasered in my Evo10 goin a 120 in a 70 slammed brakes slowed down to 85 lol instant blue lights. And I also have an escort redline. It'll pick up radar from miles it's crazy but if they use a laser you're screwed no matter what. Either the redline or a passport are good solid choices.

Maybe just don't speed? Save it for the track? Don't give Mustang owners a bad name by reckless driving?

No that's too obvious.

If you are doing it in an area where you may get tagged then you are still too close to the city. Go to nowhere and then drive how you please.

Still noobie here. What are laser jammers, does this devise find undercover cops just driving on a highway, and how does one get 10,000$ worth of speeding tickets. I got caught by an undercover cop who I passed going 70 on a 55

Way more than 5% use lasers now a days, for this reason exactly. You're basically screwed either way so if you drive crazy then tickets are the nature of that beast.

The Escort Passport Max2 is the top dog on the market right now. It is supposed to surpass the performance of the Redline, 9500IX, and Valentine One. Pretty hefty price tag of $599 though: https://www.escortradar.com/passportmax2/

I use a Escort Passport 8500 X50 and it has served me well, although it is not the best performer on the market.

Best radar detector is the free one where you just do the speed limit or 5-8mph over and don't get tickets. Most highways are going to 70-75mph limits now anyway.

I like to drive with the speed of traffic, and here in Houston, that is typically 75-85 (the speed limit is 65 by the way). My Beltronics V10 has alerted me to officers over the hill or coming down a merging overpass behind me more times than I could possibly count. The people who say that it's too late by the time it picks up on the radar clearly have no understanding of how radar actually works. They are pretty spot on when it comes to laser, though. As far as I'm concerned, getting lasered is about the same as getting reds and blues.

I have both an Escort Redline and a Passport 9500ix. I use one on my motorcycle and the other in my Mustang. Usually the 9500ix is in the car. Having used them interchangeably on both vehicles, I have to say that the Redline has the better sensitivity and earlier warning but both are good. The GPS based speed trap warnings and nuisance K & X band blocking on the 9500ix are really nice around down. It's quiet most of the time so when it goes off you know it means business!

I disagree with the comment that the cop's radar has already picked you up by the time you receive an alert. That's the standard cop line of BS to discourage us from using detectors. Many times in my experience, I've gotten the alert around a bend, over a rise or at such long distances that there is no possible way the cop could not have seen me. Most states require that the cop actually see you speeding and can only use the radar information as confirmatory, not primary evidence in court.

Of course there's little that can be done to electronically defend yourself from instant-on or Laser. Still gotta keep your eyes open and think like a cop.
