Long tubes & O/R Emissions (MA)

I know this question has been posted before, looking for updated info. I am looking to get LTs and O/R. I am wondering if it will pass the inspection? Massachusetts

Look up the MA laws. As long as you are not in some nazi state like CA that does not allow longtubes at all, and you have cats on the car, you'll be fine.

No, it more than likely won't. O/R normally don't have cats.. My catted bbk x pipe wouldn't have passed if I didn't get bizarrely lucky. Was really weird how i passed and a long story. Lol

And I'm in Texas. Which isn't really known to be EPA nazi's

O/R does not have cats. That's why it's "off road". Only way to pass is if you have fake cats in and the car runs well enough to pass the sniff test.

You guys and your sniffers... If I move to PA then I'll have to probalby get a more in-depth safety inspection like brakes/tires/whatever but most counties do not do a sniffer because it is totally pointless.

I leave in mass and it won't pass emissions for long tubes..

MPT TUNE, Borla S-Type, Airaid Cai, Ford racing X pipe, Mac ceramic shorty headers, 2010 GT500 rims, 35% tint, Sr Springs, J&M phb, camber bolts, blacked out side markers, front and taillights.

Yeah I hear its a pretty much BS inspection and just a money grab especially if you know your way around a car. I'm not a huge fan of some jackass pulling the wheels off my car, especially some quickie inspection and crawling all over the car. One of the only things I like about NJ, the inspection is literally 10 minutes and the state pays for it and all it is is a DTC check and maybe a visual on the cat if the inspector is feeling froggy.

The sniffer I understand for smog. It's the stupid visual. If it puts out minimal emissions why does it matter what is done to it?
