Safe is usually all wrapped up in the tune you get with it.

When your running the engine close to the limits of the stock internals, It is important to have you air/fuel ratio spot on. Mine was dyno tuned by a very reputable shop after they installed the blower. Bad tune can blow you up at just about any power level. I would never recommend a mail order tune, although there are companies out there that are very well known for having good mail order tunes.(VMP, Brenspeed) I would rather have it on a dyno to have it tuned on the spot.

My stock motor lasted exactly 6 weeks @10 psi and 440hp.
I know guys running over 500 for years with the same motor.
A good tune is essential.
