Plugs, wires and pack

2008 mustang v6
On American Muscle I'm going to buy the NGK plugs with the Taylor street plugs and I wanted to know if i should buy the screamin demon coil pack to go with it? I also wanted to know if getting the coil pack is required to go along with the plugs and wires.

Usually with ignition parts I like to do it all at once. However, you can get away with doing just a few items. New plugs and wires are always a good thing! I would go with the coil pack as well and that should really make some improvements in your idle, driveability etc.

Let us know if we can lend a hand and we'll gladly take care of you! Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.

I know AM is here to sell stuff, but please... It is common COMMON knowledge that as far as coil packs and COPs that aftermarket is no better than OEM. Oftentimes they are way worse especially if its a MSD product... Money much better spent elsewhere. NGK plugs are good but a good OEM Ford Racing wire will be just fine and cheaper. Check out Rockauto for OEM wires.

I'd honestly just get the OEM Motorcraft plugs and the Taylor wires from AM and call it good. The $90 for the coil pack is just tossing money out the window unless yours is bad. In which case you should replace it with a Motorcraft coil pack, not aftermarket. Like I said, its been proven time after time that the aftermarket coil packs and COPs are not as good as OEM.
