Nice - had to look that one up. Guess a T/A Challenger wasn't rare enough lol.
Man, I need a bigger garage... and piggy bank.

My friend I can't tell you how many I tried to save but was too late... One particular car, a 71 AMX 401 4spd (1 of like 300 and something), the owner and I agreed on a price and I was going to pick it up the next day. He goes and sells the damn thing to a guy I find out it was crushed a week later. I talked to the guy that crushed it (trying to restrain myself from punching him), and he says it had to much wrong with it to restore it. I could've killed him I was so pissed.
Side note that car is one of my favorite muscle cars ever.

Loved those cars, always liked the look. Javelins were/are underappreciated. That motor was a beast too.
I might have had to punch him.

I saw a 70 with an experimental nascar 401 in it (one of five). I tried talking to the owner but his price was set no negotiations. Damn things was a basket case rust bucket and he wanted 75 grand. If I got it the damn auto would be thrown out and a manual put in. I don't do autos, I'm not a woman...

The 401 was a high compression with 425hp (bull)

Haha, that's a lil steep. Sounds like you got your share of projects man. Some good finds. I wish I had the time and energy to do another muscle car build. I don't even have a garage anymore at this new house.
Maybe that should be my next project... That would be asking for trouble.

I hear ya. Back home I've got two cars at my shop one in my garage and one in my neighbors garage. I really need to stop buying cars I'm running out of places to put them. I can't have them sitting outside, in the weather, they gotta be in something; I'm weird like that. But they are getting put on hold I've got health issues that are giving me problems... Been sick for a long time now...

Sorry to hear that, friend. Your health has to come first though, then you can rehabilitate the iron. Get yourself well, somebody has to keep the classics out of the crusher lol.
All the best

I've read somewhere you've got 2 14 gt's, is that right? If so what type of witchcraft do you have planned for them?

No sir, only one. Bought it last April and it's my daily driver. Just been tinkering a little for now, upgrading suspension and starting some appearance mods soon. Not doing too much for power yet, but I have plans for forced induction down the road - probably a Vortech system. I wish I had another one that could be my plaything while keeping a sane one for the streets. I'll just enjoy this one, and have some fun making it mine over time with no pressure. It's new to me to mod new cars instead of busting knuckles repairing/rebuilding old ones, but it's already been a lot of fun.

Using a centrifugal supercharger? I looked at a 01 bullitt with a vortex centrifugal on it. Price was high and body could use some work.

Your gonna need another garage if you keep looking lol

Yeah, that's the route I'm leaning towards. I think they make the most sense. Plus I think 550-650 streetable hp is about as much as I want for my DD. Plus I think it would be easier than going from bolt-on to bolt-on and experimenting myself into ruin lol. One and done, so to speak. At least that's what I'm telling myself. For now.
