So I don't know what thread I'm supposed to ask this but if I get a bigger bore throttle body and a CAI will I have to do exhaust work as well? A mechanic had told me I had to work on the exhaust as well if I were to add those mods due to back pressure in engine

Your mechanic is a moron and I would not trust someone who told me that to change the oil in my car. With that said, you should get a new exhaust regardless just because an aftermarket exhaust is going to free up power over stock in most instances.
2000 Mustang GT Steeda build #48. Bolt ons, suspension, Novi 2000.

Just because I give you advice, doesn't mean I know more than you. Its just means I've done more stupid ****.
