Any body used the x plan offer from MOA?
Can better deals be had without it?

I bought my car X plan and its nice because I believe it is 150 above invoice so you dont have to worry about BS'ing and going back and forth with the salesman. With that said if you catch the dealership at the right time and know how to negotiate well then its possible to get a better deal on the car. But right now I wouldnt expect to negotiate a ton off the 15's as they are still pretty new and in demand.

IMHO, if you want a S550 and the best price you wait until "leftover" season. Ppl were getting brand new 2014s in the late Spring/Summer last year for $27k out the door. Not sure if the S550 will go that low but I don't see why not. ESPECIALLY if Ford comes out and says they are planning on a new engine for the 16 or 17 MY, watch the Coyote S550s just tank in demand/price and its still going to be a ridiculously fast car.

So it sounds like x plan pretty much renders costco/truecar/other car buying programs worthless huh?

I used A Plan on my 2012, when I was deciding between a black 12 or a gunmetal 13. The positive of A/X plan is that you are guaranteed a good price. The NEGATIVE, is that you won't be stumbling/negotiating into a great deal. Just spitballing numbers here, if the car is 20, the dealer would go as low as 18 to move it and X plan is 19, going in with "I'm x plan, give me that car!" Won't get you the BEST deal. But they can't rip you off on the price of the car. A and X plans are audited inside Ford. They will even do random calls on A plan purchases and check up and make sure it is legitimate (to the best of their ability).

I negotiated mine, then my wife who gets the x plan free through her work busted it out ( I had no idea and she forgot about it but remembered at some point) and the price went down a grand. You should have seen the salesmans face when she remembered and blurted out "ohh we have the x plan!" Lol got mine for 28k after that and rebates. Sticker 35

One note, the more options you have, the more you get off. That seems obvious, but my standard with just the spoiler (ONLY option) was X, but had I got an automatic with the same setup, it would be just a few bucks more.
