So Dante actually replied to me and said that he might be able to ship the rear quarter panel lights, but he's not sure about the turn signal lights and he might have to refund me for those. Honestly I would just like a full refund at this point. I'm calling BS on this anyways...

It would be pretty silly looking with only front or rears.

Got the parts, will update tonight.

Basically...they work but they're not worth the 10 month wait. And there's still many ****-ups haha.

Also some other funny details.

Hey guys,

Sorry it took a few days.

Main Issues
Import cost wasn't mentioned, I had to pay another ~$35 something at the post office (that's another 30%).

The included page itself says that instructions are always included but they weren't. They also refer to some /install sub-domain where you're supposed to see how to install but as you can see from the screenshot that page doesn't exist.

The lights came pretty scuffed, obviously not even wiped clean pre-shipment.

SEALS - The quality of the seals are laughable. They're jagged, messy and an eye-sore. Will they be apparent once installed? No. But its still ****ty.

-----------------------

Do they work as advertised? Yes, they light-up, yes they have LED strips in them and YES they look cool. Are they in any way better than Oracle's products? DOUBT IT.

-----------------------

Overall, I'd recommend the IDEA of having LED strips in place of the OEM bulb BUT you should get them from Oracle. HIDGuy has no advantages over them and, if you've been reading, they got a lot of disadvantages.

Since I'm relatively satisfied now that I've got the parts, I'm cutting ties with them.

---------------------------------

One lesson. If you want to get their attention, post your comments back-to back on all their pictures. They use #hms, #hidguy, #hidguymodshop as they're instagram tags. Find them, and copy/post the same comment across all pictures like I did (MustangLink).

They do a lot of their marketing/communications through there and that was the ONLY time I got any response from them.

---------------------------------

Thanks for all your support.

To good business.

Pics are attached.

I just read this whole thread lol quite entertaining at your expense which I apologize for. What a nightmare. These guys shouldn't stay in business. Making a trip down to San Diego soon and maybe I'll stop in Chula Vista to see what they're all about...

They sent him some extra cash along with the lights so he wouldn't. I hope it was worth it Kustumb. LOL I kid I kid...

I can't blame him though, he didn't expect it to cost to much to take legal action against HIDGUY and he was the only one out of all of us taking action. I still think it's absolutely crazy how easy these guys are stealing everyone's cash right now and getting away with it. Messaging them is useless, they don't care about anything you have to say no matter what kind of s**t they try to shove down your throat. They aren't even putting in effort into excuses lol. The only way this will truly end is if we do take some sort of action against them. There's just too many people that won't get any products or their money like Kustumb did. I'm sure as hell not letting Dante off the hook with my $432.

It's up to you guys to fight this. Find their instagrams they're using to market and comment on EVERY SINGLE picture in one night.

If they block you, make a new Instagram and do it again.

Email them, message them on Facebook and post on their Facebook page.

It costs money to take legal action, other channels is free.

Many people here have spent close to a thousand on his products and it wouldn't be right to stop pushing and take what would some could see this as a bribe.

TLDR: He said he's shipping my products early next week. I told him I didn't care, he owed me them anyways and that he needs to make things right with everyone else that's stepped forward. I'll be awaiting the bumper lights and seeing what action he takes for the other people on here.

Honestly those LED light strips look like they should be shoved up HIDGuy's ***... that is just chincy... I mean I guess they work.

As for Kustumb taking legal action on everyone's behalf... people say things when they are mad... and it is very costly for legal action like this.

I mean I would still PM him for all his contact info and forum links to different threads and stuff if you are someone who got the shaft by HIDGuy but as I've said many times in many threads... Pay with a credit card through Paypal or Google Wallet and don't settle for a runaround when something doesn't feel right. If you place an order and the company tells you it is shipping and it doesn't... give them another shot and then if they still don't ship then they are not a business you should be dealing with and initiate a fraud report with your bank. Again, it is AMAZING how fast people like HIDGuy will come up with the refund or part when its a bank's fraud dept contacting them. I speak from experience.

They don't seem to have a facebook page from what I can see... and they are quick to block you on instagram. I still can't believe these guys, they are openly stealing and getting away with it.

Everyone needs to calm their horses.

I'm working PST time = it's still 3pm here.

Did I say that I'd fight for all you guys to get your products back? Undeniably.

Unfortunately it turns out that (1) legal action costs a ton of money AND (2) its a lot of time to dedicate. So I apologize for saying I'd fight for you but I'd recommend you spend your wasted energy posting on here about how I'm not fighting for you and fight for yourselves.

I got myself out of this situation and so can you; you've been watching everything as it progresses.

To those saying that I took some deal...use your brain. I told you guys that they suck, and they do, I told you guys that their products suck, and they do.

The level of misdirected anger on this forum is over 9,000.

^sorry you got blasted there kustumb. That wasn't my intention by asking you that question.

I just remembered you saying that then you basically said see ya. Thought it was kinda like you got everyone all fired up and strength in numbers kinda got you the end result.

I can def understand the lawsuit business.

Seems like to me HID GUY is getting what he'd hoped he would by sending you your product even though you told him that wouldn't fix the problem. Anyway, your words. Not mine. I don't have any money tied up with these guys. Just been following. My .02

You don't need money you need patience.

Did they block your insta? Make a new one! Takes 2 seconds.

Eventually they'll back down.

Even so, I would recommend driving up there if you're in the neighborhood or asking a friend to.

Regardless, it's in your power.

Unfortunately the damage you can do is limited to their brand, so if they don't care about their brand, their public image, then this should be a learning experience for all of us - it definitely was for me.

Word is out on them among most of the bigger car forums, they have scammed enough ppl.

Problem is going to be for average joe finding them on a google search. And if average joe would just do due diligence by googling the shop something like "HIDGUY any good?" they'd find threads just like this one.

Also like I said if ppl are smart and use their CC and don't let HIDGUY string them along for months on end and get the bank's fraud dept involved it'll get resolved there too.

Karma is a *****.
