I made a post to his twitter, quite frankly, this would have me burning up, I won't deny, and most that know me personally can vouch, that I am one with very little patience, and a somewhat volatile disposition, although I have been working on it.

I have to go log onto HIDforums for like... the first time in 6 months and see if there are any threads on this jackass. I know there are plenty of retrofitters on there who are probably well aware of this ****** canoe.

Simple updates for you:

1. Bank meeting went well, they're looking into the fraudulent change on my account. You'll be hearing from them soon.

2. I've taken screenshots of your own policy saying that under extreme circumstances you'll refund 100% of the money spent. You're violating this policy.

3. I've already taken screenshots of your website with time-stamps showing you saying that orders take 2-3 weeks to complete. You're openly tricking people.

4. I'm meeting with the family lawyer friday (tomorrow), he knows of the situation. It'll be an easy, no question win.

Hope you'll paying that, damages, lost business, and an overall loss of reputation.

FYI, he comes at about $250/hour.

Good luck.

Eh... I actually have a feeling that he is going to have a check overnighted to him about 15 minutes after his lawyer/bank/both gets off the phone with HIDguy. Seen this before and you'd be amazed how fast a loser like this will come up with money out of nowhere when faced with actual real consequences.

Even then, I wouldn't settle with just a refund at this point.

Legally that will be the end of it. I would spam the living **** out of every forum I could though and get onto google/yahoo reviews and post negative stuff.

Hello everyone! I just registered to this forum because of this thread, although I will be staying because I love Mustangs!

Anyways, I am sorta in the same position as the OP. I am intrigued to see such a recent thread out about HIDGUY's service, or lack thereof. I ordered the same smoked quarter marker LED lights for my 08 GT as well as some of their "modshop" LED turnsignal lights back in October 2014. They seemed to be a great site with a lot of cool products and I have even read of some positive reviews on other sites so I placed my order for a total of $432. Well it's been almost 6 months now and I have sent countless messages to them, but I always get the run around. I get promised that I will get called back or messaged back but it never happens. I don't know if anyone has noticed this, but you can no longer directly call HIDGUY; due to "the high volume of calls", they made it so that you are forced to leave a message to their site or leave voicemail, and the chances of getting replied to are very slim. I have been told that the LED strips inside the turn signal housings have not been working as expected and they have been changed out and I was also told that they would definitely be shipping out mid-February but now it is in end of March and I still have nothing. $432 is a lot of money... I am reaching out to them for a refund but if the OP couldn't even get one for $200... I don't think things are looking too well. I'm going to have a little more patience before I go...loopy ... but I definitely can't recommend HIDGUY to anyone at this point. ..

(Sarcasm) but HIDGUY said his other customers are happily waiting.... I am willing to bet that he owes a good amount of money/ product to a lot of people. Sucks for those who have their hard earned cash tied up in this.

Anyone live close enough to HIDGuy's shop to pay him a visit and see whats up? Maybe hold his hand to the post office so he can mail out a few things.

I wonder how many thousands of dollars they have taken from others with nothing provided in return. I was even charged for the cost of shipping 5 months ago for crying out loud lol. I am waiting for their response to my refund request, I fully intend to get my $400 back and I will have to drop it down a gear if they want to waste any more of my time. I'll drop it down two gears actually.

Of course I can! Anything to help! As of right now, my lights are still "awaiting shipment". It is pretty obvious what kind of people we are dealing with here, they must make some damn good quality lights to have this big of a delay on shipping them out. They always seemed to have a poor excuse when I called or messaged them, provided that they responded at all to me. We can't be the only ones in this situation right now, I'm sure there are many others out there who will hopefully see this thread.

EDIT: Kustumb, I just sent you a PM with more details.

Jeez...

Like I said back on page 1... classic example of someone making a real good product initially and then thinking "hey I can make money on this" and then getting WAY in over their head and then instead of doing the right thing and at least refunding all the orders... they run with the $$$ they probably already spent on bull****.

Sang, if you used a Credit card (not a debit an actual Credit), call your bank first thing Monday morning and open a fraudulent charge case. You aren't getting your money back... you're just not. Neither is the OP. You both probably should have gotten the bank involved a long time ago. I know I would have given them 2-3 weeks past their promised ship date and then given one final warning and then pushed the red button. You can't **** around with people like this.

You're right, we both should have contacted the bank long ago. HID GUY seemed reputable though and being the patient person that I am, I was definitely willing to give them some extra time with these hand-built lights if that is what they needed. Obviously they took advantage of me and probably so many others as well. I'll tell you one thing though, I WILL be getting my money back and I won't rest until I do. If I have to take legal action against them like Kustumb is, I will. Getting a refund is one thing, but I refuse to let a company like this continue on to steal from others.

Hey Team,

Definitely sucks that another one of our own got scammed recently.

I'll be connecting with my lawyer again and I'm sure this'll just strengthen our case.

I'm writing up a couple of images to post on Instagram tagging HIDGUY since I know they're big on there.

I'll also be mentioning to them that another one has stepped forward and that I'll continue to look for others as time goes on. I don't think they understand the magnitude of the situation yet.

Sanghelli, thanks for the PM, I'll reply soon.

Thanks!

Oh and here is Dante's instagram *hint hint*.

I'm not sure how he ranks on there, might be running the place or might be the customer rep, regardless he's the one doing all the communication and most importantly not taking responsibility.

I hate reading things like this. Since there goods are custom made I can understand the no refund policy. As if the good are already being made then I can see them not wanting to refund when they already started making the product. But if they didnt even start manufacturing them I dont see any reason why they can't give you a refund after everything that happened.

Lol I just found a number that they have for Spanish callers (1-901-399-4924), the guy (I'm assuming Dante) answered. As soon as I gave him my number with which he pulled up my account he hung up.

The professionalism is admirable.

I just went on their top 20 Youtube videos and posted about the whole situation and linked to this thread.

Almost there.
