Listen Dante would appreciate if you kept your negative comments to yourself. Lol it's hurting his scam, I mean business. That guy has a lot of nerve. Hey a$$hole, if you post things that others can see and you sound like an a$$hole, you are! Perception is reality!

Update.

So I got a call from Dante today while I was at the gym.

Told me a bunch of bull****, these are the things I remember:
  • He is not the boss
  • He doesn't own the business
  • He's on my side
  • He's been too busy to check his e-mail
  • He hasn't been paying attention to this forum (lol)
  • He works in production.
  • etc.

Most of the BS statements above have already been determined to be true through one way or another.

Regardless, lets forget that for a minute. The phone call occurred quite quickly after I started commenting on his newly created HMS_Dante (or something like that account). My account is "MustangLink" but he knew who I was - glad I made an impression.

Started off saying " not sure what you want", and continued to cut me off - whatever. I told him I need him to make things right, and am have the complete case built out ahead of me and that I'm not afraid to sue. Like I said, the draft is just being finished for the Demand Letter.

I told him not only do I want my products (wishful thought in itself) but that I want him to make it right with ALL the other people that have stepped forward. I'm not going to let this go because he has FINALLY decided to give me my ~$200 bumper lights.

Many people here have spent close to a thousand on his products and it wouldn't be right to stop pushing and take what would some could see this as a "bribe".

Re: Products. He said he has 150 orders for the bumper lights and can only build out about 6-7 a week. I told him that's bad business and should be shown that they're on back-order. I'm sure its not JUST the bumper lights as we have seen with the people that have stepped forth.

----------------------------

TLDR: He said he's shipping my products early next week. I told him I didn't care, he owed me them anyways and that he needs to make things right with everyone else that's stepped forward. I'll be awaiting the bumper lights and seeing what action he takes for the other people on here.

I ensured that he knew that if I didn't get the lights or the tracking number soon, I'd move forward.

Thanks for you patience.

I will say if what Dante says is true about the 6-7 week/150 orders then that is 5 months backlog. If an item is 5 months out he needs to be real up front with how long it will take. fwiw I wouldn't be holding my breath.

Joser, it may be slow but at least it's shiny.

I say don't wait it out. I say smash his *** because if it took this just to get what you paid for it's clear he didn't give a **** about you or your purchase. Don't be an idiot and let him slip away.

Eh, I think this guy might have actually been scared straight somewhat if he's actually trying to call and get in contact vs just staying the course and hoping it all blows over.

However, this dude should seriously SERIOUSLY be halting all ordering by any means for his products until he is caught up. Which he won't do because I doubt he really is going to make this all right. I think he's going to get SOME of the orders out and then just say "**** it" and then you guys are going to have to go from there.

That's why I say smash his ***. He's going to push orders out to the people that are on that lawyers list and once they are out of the picture he's going to go back to his old ways.

Is there a little thing called economics ? And something called supply and demand? I mean how hard can it be to retrofit headlights if you have all the right tools. And okay maybe it take some skill so hire some broke high school kids pay em minimum wage to answer emails and take calls so you can work on the lights. And still can't keep up? I'm sure you would be able to find someone else that is capable to preform the required tasks to make the lights. I mean really? If this guy wasn't such a d bag and wanted to screw people over he would have done this by now

Lol if he's not the owner... Then who is? Is the owner not concerned about getting sued? The owner would surely take this into his own hands and replied to you. More and more bull is coming out of his mouth. He's reacting to the fact he just lost a $1000 purchase and is worried he'll lose more.

Everyone needs to relax.

In California the statute of limitations extends to 3 years. We've got plenty of time.

Additionally he still has to deliver the products to the rest of the people on here for me to stop.

Just a thought, if this guy has all these orders that he's NOT fulfilling, why is it so hard for his employees to get paid? That's easy money lol. #gettingcashanddoingnothing

Will let you know when they come in...if they do.

Hidguymodshop blowzzzzzz

Time to post my current situation with HIDGUY Mod-Shop
Ordered a RGB COB Halo IR lighting kit for my raxiom 2010 style headlights, plus RGB demon eyes. The total was ~$244 dollars, and the purchase was made on March 17. Prior to this, Dante and I relayed over 30 messages as I was making sure I knew everything about the product, and making sure that it would fit in my Raxioms. He would respond within the hour with great customer service. Flash foward about a week later when my lights come in and I notice a few things.
-First of all, these kits are NOT custom made. They use the same IR controller that my cheap $15 ebay room lights use (THEY EVEN HAVE A DC PLUG THAT THEY CUT THE END OFF AND STRIPPED INTO 2 WIRES). extremely cheap product that I could've made myself for pennies on the dollar.
-Second of all, they forgot to ship one of hte controllers, AND one of the drivers was defective. I contacted Dante about the issue, and then he gives me the runaround saying that they test everything before it leaves and that theres no way its defective. After sending multiple pictures and trying to diagnose with him what the issue is, he finally says that he will send me a replacement driver the next day, but that I will have to send in my defective one. I sent the replacement back in on March 30,2015. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY REPLACEMENT DRIVER. Multiple contact attempts ensued with Dante. I emailed him multiple times, called their phone number and left a voicemail, sent messages through their website, and emailed the rest of the team.
-April 9th, I message him "Its been over a week and I still haven't received my replacement driver. Did you guys receive the defective one I sent back?"
-April 15th, Dante replies "I did but, we ran out of drivers to fill the bad driver. So we are waiting on drivers. Sorry about not getting back to you right away, I've been moved to the production team and i am not at my desk all the time. Ill let you know when they come back in stock."
-April 16th, I message "That's pretty rediculous but whatever, when do you think your next shipment is coming in?" As of now, i still have not received any contact from Dante or the team at HMS. I filed a fraudulent charge with my credit card company, and contacted the BBB.
