I currently have a 4.6. Building a boss replacement

I am looking to start building my first engine and i have many questions as far as getting parts. Like whats the differents between 3v and 4v and where to get certain parts

3v is still a single over head cam. The 4v is a dual over head cam. So the heads are much larger and have 4 cams instead of just 2. You can use a 3v block and put 4v heads on it, as long as you put 4v everything else along with the ECU.

Okay that sounds great but more money but cool. Anyway are there any other differences ?
