Yeah, that body style of Camaro/Trans Am is just plain fugly IMO.

A week ago at Lucas Oil Raceway I beat a 99 auto Camaro that was basically stock. I think he was about like me, exhaust and that's about it. It was his first day out and I really don't seem to have the driver mod lol, so I think it was pretty fair. I beat his 1/4 time, but I didn't really know we were racing until he came up to me later lol. I got 13.815 @ 105.38mph with a 2.34 60ft. and he got a 13.831 @ 99.9mph with a 2.049 60ft. I was pretty suprised he got a 2.0 60ft lol. Usually your first time, you botch your launch. I'll post the timeslip if anyone cares.

Was an automatic, that's why. Autos are by far so much easier to launch.

The 99 Camaro driver's big brother said they have 330hp BTW. Not sure what the 99's are, LS1's?

Yes LS1, but the equivalent of what our 96-98 NPI is. A few things were upgraded in later years.

Sometimes I wish I had an auto lol. Still, even though I don't get the times the car will get, I have a lot of fun.

Just the intake and the oil pump. They still put down real good power and most ppl who have the older LS1s upgrade to the LS6 intake or the FAST intake and also do a better oil pump and Katech rod bolts while they have the pan off.
